Questions

Short answers about the MCP servers.

#Does MCP cost extra?

No. Tool calls are billed as the API calls they make.

#Can several people share one token?

They can, but they will share one identity and one view of memory. Give each person a token.

#Can the model see other users’ memory?

Only if the token’s identity is allowed to. The model cannot change the identity.

#Which clients work?

Any client that supports remote MCP servers with custom headers. Configuration examples are in the quickstart and plugin guides.

#Does the model decide when to recall?

Yes — tool use is the model’s choice. Add an instruction such as “check memory before answering about earlier work” to your client or project rules to make recall reliable.

#Is remembered text shared with my team?

Only if the token’s default visibility is a team audience. The default is private to the token’s identity.

#Can I use MCP and REST in the same project?

Yes. Both read and write the same records and memories; MCP tokens and API keys are just different credentials for one project.

#How do I remove everything a client stored?

Delete the records it authored: list them with GET /v1/memories?author={identity}, or delete the identity’s authored data with DELETE /v1/identities/{id}?scope=authored.
