Docs MCP
What the Auld MCP servers are
Two Model Context Protocol servers: a memory server that gives an agent remember and recall tools, and a documentation server that lets coding assistants read these docs.
#Memory server
Endpoint /mcp on your project host. Exposes tools that map to Memory API calls, authenticated with an MCP token. The token decides which project, which identity the client acts as, and which tools are enabled.
#Documentation server
Endpoint /mcp/docs. Read-only tools to search and fetch Auld documentation pages, so an assistant writing integration code can check field names. It needs no project data.
#When to use MCP instead of REST
| Situation | Use |
|---|---|
| An MCP-capable client (desktop assistant, IDE, agent framework) used by one person | MCP |
| Your backend serving many end users | REST, or your own MCP tools that call REST |
| You need to post-process recall or enforce custom rules | REST |
